Osprey's No. 138 of its 'Duel' series is put into the safe hands of air historian Andy Saunders. 
Andy takes a look at the air battles over Norway, France and Britain which saw the Luftwaffe's Stuka come-up against a variety of RAF fighters from the Gloster Gladiator to the Hurricane and Spitfire. 
We learn how both sides adapted different tactics, whether they were the RAF pilots attacking a much slower and often diving bomber, or the Stuka crews who found a new flying formation to provide a better defensive line of fire against attacking fighters.
Also included is a range of combat reports and pilot stories.
The book has some great graphics, maps and artwork included, along with a host of photographs from Andy's own vast collection.
A truly fascinating and enjoyable read that is a great addition to the series. Highly recommended.

ROYAL NAVY FORCE H 1940-42 This is book 14 in Osprey's 'Fleet' series and is written by naval historian, Angus Konstam. If you have read any second world war books on the Mediterranean war and/or Malta, then it is highly likely that Force H and its well respected commander, V.Adm. Sir James Somerville, is mentioned. Based at Gibraltar, Force H patrolled both the Atlantic and the Western Mediterranean often escorting vital convoys to Malta. It was Somerville who led the fleet in the attack on the French fleet at Mers-el-Kébir and they would also be later involved in the hunt for the Bismarck.  As well as describing the fleet's ships, its commander and their wartime endeavors, the role and defences of Gibraltar is also covered.
