Published back in 2019, aviation author Martin W. Bowman turns his attention and knowledge to many people's favourite aircraft, the Lightning.

Following an introduction and brief history of the aircraft's development and service by Martin, this illustrated book from the publisher's popular 'Images' series allows the reader to enjoy a huge range of photographs of the Lightning.
Captioned with each photograph, Martin shares the individual aircraft's history and its eventual fate. Many crashed some sadly causing aircrew fatalities, whilst those not lucky to now be on museum display would eventually be scrapped. 

Thankfully with excellent books like this, generations of fans can continue to enjoy and reminisce what was a golden age in our aviation history.
Highly recommended.
